Is FNG Expressway a fraud?

Fully agreed and endorse dheeraj. Dont know if all naharpar societies residents make a campaign,it may have huge impacts on HUDA.It could be media,political,PIL in court anything.As far as my limited knowledge on FNG,I assume in FNG,only F(Faridabad)is scrapped.If FNG could be in place,it could have benefited to all service class citizen who can live in FBD and commute to Noida easily.

If we work jointly, we can force Faridabad administration to construct bridge over Yamuna. Twin cities of NOIDA and Greater NOIDA have anounced massive budget of Rs 10000/- crore for next 5 years to make these cities number 1 in country in terms of development. In this budget, they are planning to construct 4 bridges over Yamuna. Why Faridabad should remain poor and continue to lag? We have already given more than 1000 crores from our pocket towards EDC and from that amount, they can at least construct 1 bridge over Yamuna that will link NOIDA to Neharpar sectors. If they don't want to spend that money, then also they have an option to act as faciliator to award this project to private contractor who can charge toll to use this bridge. REMEMBER: DND bridge non-competition clause has ended and now you can construct any number of bridges over Yamuna in near vicinity.

Fully agreed with Dheeraj. We need to unite and act together. I think uniting Builders on this will push the process. Remember, Builders have political contacts. If they really push the matter along with us, no stopping then.

Having said that, I failed to understand why HUDA/DTCP is not interested in any of such idea?

This is going to benefit whole Fbd. Why they want to lag behind always and want to tag Faridabad as backward city? Connecting with Noida is ultimately is going to do a huge value addition.

We may take HUDA to court over this. This may need time and money contribution. I am out of country (can not be present physically) but can contribute financially. Let us create a kitty for this.

I totally agree, we should work towards making Neharpar area a better place to live. lets unite everybody from neharpar area (builders and owners of flats) and give one dharna at HUDA's office and give them notice that how important is this connectivity for us.

Only FNG road exists for connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad and no FNG expressway. 'F' was removed by NOIDA authorities after negligence/laziness of Faridabad Administration.

The Fbd-Noida bridges are in the pipeline as well

This so called KGP expressway is Eastern Peripheral Expressway and it does NOT pass through NOIDA. It has no relation to dead FNG expressway which was supposed to connect NOIDA and Faridabad. Also, EPE is yet to take off even after 6 years of its conception and it is also heading towards its death. For more discussions and updates on EPE, please refer to:

Only ray of hope for Faridabad is inclusion of 2 bridges to NOIDA in Faridabad and NOIDA Master Plans 2031. NOIDA is famous for achieving its targets well before time and GFWA should exert pressure on HUDA to achieve the same.

After news in Amar Ujala, NCR Board given in-principle approval for FNG expressway.
And Board instructed Noida and Haryana Authorities to start work on the same.

नोएडा के हिस्से में 17 किमी लंबा एफएनजी बनने के बाद उसे फरीदाबाद होते हुए मथुरा रोड से लिंक करने व सेक्टर -151 के साथ नई सड़क बनाने के प्लान में एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड कोऑर्डिनेटर की भूमिका निभाएगा। अथॉरिटी इस संबंध में बोर्ड को चिट्ठी लिखेगी। प्लानिंग विभाग के सूत्रों के अनुसार अथॉरिटी चाहती है कि एफएनजी का जो इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर शहर में तैयार हो रहा है , उसे हरियाणा में भी इसी रफ्तार से तैयार कराया जाए।

एनसीआर प्लानिंग बोर्ड की पहल पर ईस्टर्न पेरिफेरल एक्सप्रेस - वे का प्रोजेक्ट तैयार किया गया था। इसमें भी कोऑर्डिनेटर की भूमिका अहम थी। कई साल बाद इस प्रोजेक्ट के काम में तेजी आई है। पिछले सप्ताह शहरी विकास मंत्रालय की मीटिंग में एनसीआर में कनेक्टिविटी को लेकर अहम मीटिंग के दौरान एफएनजी की प्रोग्रेस को लेकर सवाल जवाब हुए। इसमें अथॉरिटी ने साफ किया कि नोएडा ने अपने हिस्से की 17 किमी लंबे रूट के अधिकतर हिस्से पर सड़क तैयार कर दी गई है। अब नोएडा से ग्रेटर नोएडा के बीच बने एक्सप्रेस वे पर एक फ्लाईओवर एफएनजी पर बनाया जाना है। इसके बाद मंगरौली व छपरौली के बाद यह सड़क हरियाणा में फरीदाबाद की तरफ चली जाएगी।

Question of FNG Expressway and connectivity to Noida was raised by me to Mr. S.S.Dhillon, IAS, topmost officer of Urban Development, Haryana on 22nd April during inauguration of master roads in Faridabad. He replied clearly that there is no FNG Expressway and there are no plans by HUDA/DTCP for connectivity to NOIDA. I then asked why Haryana is not interested when NOIDA is very active and it even has completed its own side of construction. Also, as clear from last post in this thread, NOIDA is even pressurizing NCR planning board to step in and NCR has accepted becoming co-ordinator. Mr. Dhillon simply refused to acknowledge that and told that he has no communication from NOIDA Authority. If we want FNG expressway to see light of the day, then we have to pressure Govt. departments in Haryana to work towards it. Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) is altogether different game which does not pass through NOIDA and will have high toll rates. EPE purpose is only to ease congestion in Delhi.

Truth is out in open. It is ONLY because of Haryana Govt. FNG Expressway was scrapped in 1998. It is shameful that even after scrapping FNG Expressway, HUDA Offices in Panchkula, Faridabad continued to display FNG expressway and even still displaying the same which was exploited by builders in Greater Faridabad to sell flats promising connectivity to NOIDA.

NOIDA: The Noida Authority has decided to speed up work on the Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad (FNG) corridor project. The Authority CEO, Sanjeev Saran, on Thursday directed the chief engineer to visit the project site and take stock of all obstacles in way of the project. Directing his staff to treat the project on a "priority basis", Saran has said that all problems will be "resolved at once and construction will be fast tracked."

Though the Haryana government scrapped the FNG project years ago, the Authority has maintained that since the project is a part of its Master Plan 2021 and as it has already completed 50% of its share of work, the work on the stretch between Noida and Ghaziabad will be completed.

A 16km stretch of the proposed 56km corridor falls under the jurisdiction of Noida Authority. The 16km link road begins at Chijarsi village near NH-24 and will pass through Sectors 142, 143B, 167 and 168 along the Greater Noida Expressway and end at Assdullapur village near Sector 168.

The Authority claims to have already completed work on 8km of this stretch that links Noida and Ghaziabad and spent around Rs 30 crore on the project.

The remaining project was in limbo for almost 10 years due to some land along the stretch yet to be acquired, while some is heavily encroached upon. "We have decided to take up the remaining work on a priority basis and are working to sort out the acquisition as well as encroachment issues at the earliest," the official said.

The project meant to connect Faridabad-Noida-Ghaziabad had been floated way back in 1993 but was scrapped by the Haryana government in 1998 because it was found "unfeasible."

"The NCR Planning board had been informed about the FNG corridor and we had already included the project in our Master plan when the Haryana government planned to scrap it. We have already completed a major portion of work on the 16 km stretch that falls under our jurisdiction," said an Authority official. "Besides, this 16 km stretch is an important link between Noida and Ghaziabad. Currently, the congested NH-24 is the only link road between the two cities and once the 16 km stretch is complete, it will provide smooth and hassle free travel between Noida and Ghaziabad. This road will also provide speedy access to Greater Noida," he added.

एफएनजी (फरीदाबाद-नोएडा -गाजियाबाद) एक्सप्रेस-वे के निर्माण की राह आसान करने के लिए अगले सप्ताह टाउन एंड कंट्री प्लानिंग डिपार्टमेंट के अधिकारी नोएडा के अधिकारियों के साथ मीटिंग करेंगे। मीटिंग में फरीदाबाद में रोड की लोकेशन और रोड को कनेक्ट करने के लिए यमुना पर बनने वाले पुल की लोकेशन के बारे में चर्चा की जाएगी। यह मीटिंग अगले हफ्ते होने की उम्मीद है।
फरीदाबाद, नोएडा और गाजियाबाद को कनेक्ट करने के लिए एफएनजी एक्सप्रेस रोड का निर्माण किया जाना है। यह रोड नोएडा से होता हुआ यमुना पर पुल के जरिए फरीदाबाद से कनेक्ट होगा। रोड बन जाने के बाद गाजियाबाद से नोएडा और फरीदाबाद आने-जाने वालों को काफी राहत मिलेगी। रोड को फरीदाबाद से कनेक्ट करने के लिए यमुना पर पुल बनाया जाना है। यह पुल नोएडा के सेक्टर-150 से फरीदाबाद में मंझावली के पास आकर मिलेगा। फरीदाबाद में जिस जगह पर पुल मिलेगा, वहां से बाईपास रोड तक 90 मीटर रोड तैयार किया जाएगा। डिस्ट्रिक्ट टाउन प्लानर की ओर से यह प्लान फरीदाबाद मास्टर प्लान-2031 में भी शामिल किया गया है। डीटीपी संजीव मान ने बताया कि रोड और पुल का निर्माण किस सिजरा नंबर में होगा, साथ ही रोड की लोकेशन क्या होगी, इसके लिए मीटिंग का आयोजन किया जाना है। मीटिंग में टाउन एंड कंट्री प्लानिंग के डायरेक्टर मौजूद होंगे। इस विषय में नोएडा के अधिकारियों को लिखा जा चुका है। उम्मीद है कि अगले सप्ताह मीटिंग का आयोजन किया जाएगा।
