Hi all

Yesterday i got letter for offer of possession cum demand. I was shocked to see that SRS has charged 6.3 % VAT on sale price of flat.

1st of all i think VAT charge have not been envisaged by any of the buyer and secondly 6.3% it totally unethical and not as per VAT ruling. SRS people are just exploiting the buyers.

I think we (all buyers) should take up this matter with the higher management of SRS.

Dear Sir,

SRS is talking about 6.3% VAT but to our surprise they are not talking about anything on the issue of penalty charges
@Rs 5/sq ft. Would request you, if we are planning to meet SRS management on 22nd, we should also take it up this issue with them.

SRS will deposit net VAT liabilities to the Govt. if they do after compensating Input Vat (that they have paid to their supplier at the time of purchase) against Gross VAT liabilities (collected from customer). Why we should pay extra vat?

its time to get together, i have already talk to several SRS buyers regarding the meeting on 22-mar, you all are requested to collect the maximum no. of contact no, send them sms or mails or this portal, 1st meeting is on tomarrow may be, as informed.
be unite, save the money.

Dear All,

Last week i met Mr OmVir at SRS District Centre sec 12. He is DETC Head of Faridabad. In front of me, he rang the director of SRS and asked how he can charge VAT from the customer and even though the builder has not paid tax regarding VAT to the Govt. This is illegal which builder is doing.

As per him, the builder is charging VAT of 6.30% is not feasible. Although, the exact amount of VAT can be calculated post the builder paid the tax. He said, if builder is asing to pay the VAT, then i can ask the buider to provide the assessment and the tax details which he has paid to the govt. By doing this, we can came to know how much VAT to be paid(if to be paid).

Hi,

I am Bhagwat Garg and own a flat in tower B-5. As per letter for offer of possession they says - "aforesaid flat is complete and we have already received the occupation certificate". Has someone have recently visited to see the actual progress? Has builder really received the occupation certificate?

Hi,

Whether we have to pay the VAT as requested by Builder, As per article VAT is charged on In construction project.
But if you see that if Builder give us the possession on time (Dec.12) then this VAT should not be beared by us.

We have to make discuss on that with builder.....

Request you to share any latest updates/pictures from the site. The photos on the SRS website do not give a good picture of the towers which have been declared as "complete".
