Re: Wake up call for Haryana Administration – Protest Rally 13th Nov 2011

personally what is wrong if Farmers want better compensation...I beleieve we should fight togather and force Govt to give justified rate to Farmers, Acquire land ASAP and start development immeditaley...I understand increased land cost may mean more EDC to consumers..but thats what we need to highlight...lets calculate the interest Govt wud have earned from Bank or Builders (penalty)...If govt has delayed the development and in mean time operating cost is increased its govt fault...

problem is Govt has no intention to develop that area and that is why even Budget for GF development is NOT approved.... probably if we fight togather we might be able to show bigger vote bank impossible to ignore...

I believe once new Land Acquisition act comes into act it will delay the process of land acquisition further...

There is much bigger politics involved in it... there is an intentional effort in keeping GF underdeveloped so that Gurgaon rates keep increasing. They (politicians) will try to delay it as far as possible, so that they keep on making money from Gurgaon. There is a big nexus between builders and politicians.

I do agree with you Manish. We have to expose HOOD and HUDA in media. We cannot sit quiet for long time. We need the support of all the RWA of Greater Faridabad who can join us for next protest in large numbers.

Just imagine that what would be the impact if 2500 people are blocking the Nation Highway.

Media and other left parties support is must. We have to bring this issue at National Level.

Hello Guys,

It was really nice & encouraging to see so many people coming for the 13th Nov protests and also the participation of women and even children. Thanks again to all those who worked day/night to turn this event into a success.

So what next…we all know now that ONLY options left for us to get the Haryana govt listening to our demands is PROTEST..may be in more bigger numbers and to have maximum effect we need to do something which causes the most uproar..jamming the NH2 for instance !

Yess as meeting with HUDA and going to Chandigarh will not serve any purpose as we have found out in last 2 years..just been given assurances after assurances and nothing else. So time now is to create so much uproar that govt is forced to listen to us..

Can we do this..off course if we all once again unite and involve hopefully more people and protest louder..I am ready to contribute first for the logistics (money) involved in holding a protest rally and then ready to sit on road or whatever it takes to make a effect ….PLEASE guys let’s take this route now as all other options seems to be of no use.

Thanks,
Ranbir Singh

Postby BlessU » Thu Nov 17, 2011 8:18 pm

Hi Ranbir Singh

I certainly like your spirit and idea mate.. most remarkable overture.. Few takes

1] Matter Should Also be Handled Politically
A memorandum be sent to all political parties (MLA/MP) both ruling or otherwise (no excuse latter on for the ruling party) to express support in terms of representation to the govt. DC has clearly indicated that we ourselves need to go to Chandigarh as he is unable to do anything on the EDC front, :devil2: so the matter If I would read, becomes political as the CM holds both the DTCP and HUDA departments!!!

2] Involvement of Different Sects of Society
Also in a parallel fashion a memorandum must be sent to all associations of Faridabad (Associations of Industries, employees, medical reps, transport, teachers, students, farmers, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Advocates, Property dealers, contractors, etc..) urging for support on the matter and contribution in Protests/awareness/subscription.. At the end of the day development matters to all and helps is highlighting the issues pertinently.

3] Bit more Aggressive Posture Required
I am typically in the favour of peaceful represenation but alternatives be thought, if things cant be brought under control with Gandigiri, Joker approach.. Even Gandhiji did not prescribe control after the first slap.. Going a step further, convey to the ruling/opposition party leaders (district and state) to present help in terms of people who can support a BIG PROCESSION..they may be asked to comment on idea of Jamming the NH2 informally and expected support. This should be coupled with aggressive handling of Communications through print, electronic and online media. Other modes like street shows, demonstrations, human chain, barricading, tenting at prominent places, social media should also be promoted.. Ideas to be invited from members.

4] Disparity Between Gurgaon and Faridabad
Dwarka expressway, (Gurgaon) tenders have been floated despite 16 litigations on the course of 15Kms Haryana side (abhi delhi side survey and acquisition bhi nahin hua). A total of 300 puckka obstructions (about 200 inhabited) fall on the way, still land is getting cleared and India Bulls (Link with Cong I) is building the road.. Against this In faridabad only 5% (i think) is under litigation and there are no obstruction (houses) on the Proposed master Roads. 6 years have gone by and no tenders till date.

Clearly these are two measures to view the same thing. (Ek ko maa ka Ek ko Mausi Ka).

Another big difference is that EDC in GGN is just 285 FOR ALL NEW PROJECTS, reduced from 335 due to court case.. Gurgaon EDC notification http://tcpharyana.gov.in/Public%20Notic ... urgaon.pdf
WHY ARE FARIDABAD PROJECTS BEING SUBJECTED TO HIGHER EDC. EVEN THOUGH GURGAON FALL IN THE HYPER POTENTIAL CATEGORY TOWN.

5] Support from Similar Association in Noida/Delhi/Gurgaon
I am positive that a lot of people owning property in neharpar Faridabad would be from GGN/Delhi/Noida. We should involve best practices from Noida/GGN and Delhi Associations. As most would be aware GGN association got resolution through court on matter of development/EDC http://www.surgegurgaon.org/edc.html. Similarly a more complex and serious condition in Noida was reverted by the association NERWA, http://nerwa.in/home.php#.TsUa3z18Bks, President Mr. Sh. KEWAL BHATNAGAR. These associations and others in NCR should be touched by GFWA representatives to share best practices and take advantage of mutual resources (men, influence, media, subscription) be exploited..

6 Increasing Revenue of the Association
Finally, a separate account towards voluntary gratuitous donations/subscriptions be formed wherein the current method of procuring IDs be relaxed. This is more in terms of Gupt Daan or Anonymous Donations which can be collected in a transparent manner (eg: by DD in favour of the association). Many I believe would not like to pay with their full identities disclosed for various reasons. This would also encourge those who want to go and extra mile through donations/collections.. Also increasing the no of members through personal/phone/email contact of residential owners might be helpful. Other Ideas can be invited from fellow members as well..

I would also request that a copy of the last minutes of meeting with DC be posted along with minutes of previous meetings prominently on the website and strongly recommend a copy of this be sent to Local and State govt department heads (HUDA/DTCP/DC/Addl DC/SPIO/CM etc) as a matter of record (with the associations reactions) as deemed fit..

I would leave up to the able guidance of core members to proceed as they think best for one and all..

Cheers

Hi
Greetings

Sorry to butt in once again... Another point on development to be raised through RTI with the state and Central govt is the grant of Rs 2500 Cr for the development of Faridabad.
I am not quiet aware about the issue but am sure there is no declaration of deployment/visibility of Central grant of 2500Cr under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) for Faridabad. Not even a single road built in Neharpar Faridabad.
Roads, sewerage, electricity, sanitation, traffic or talk about any aspect of development, most would agree nothing seems to be evident and not a single road is developed in Neharpar Faridabad.

WHERE IS THIS MONEY?? Atleast this is something the Honble DC can answer, if he cant do about abatement of EDC hike?? or Request that an RTI may kindly be filed to find the truth by the core committee as it is practically not possible for me..

Cheers

Hi Groovi

We appreciate and acknowledge your support in driving the protest march message, You have raised several points,

Political parties
We have met Mr Bhadana (Faridabad MP) and CM Hooda in the past, with only lip service as results, We agree that, We will be required to continue to pressurize them to remind them that they are government servants and need to address the public issues

We have contacted SURGE for our EDC case and are in touch with them, Similarly we have written to NERWA during the Noida issue. Yes we need to have persistant efforts, and will require local members in the region to have continued relationship.

We contacted Farmer leaders before ur protest and they catagorically mentioned that they want better compensation, We will continue to have talks with them and seek their support by making them aware that development will be beneficial for farmers as well as home buyers. On the similar channel we are planning to seek support from various associations and other local bodies, We require support from members, In case any one has contacts, Please share these across, So that GFWA representatives can contact them

The point of revenue generation, I would like to answer in separate thread.

Voluntary Donations

Postby s1joshi » Thu Nov 17, 2011 9:37 pm

Appreciate your thoughts on revenue generation, This point has been raised couple of times in the past as well, and it is important to be clarified

Increasing Revenue of the Association
Finally, a separate account towards voluntary gratuitous donations/subscriptions be formed wherein the current method of procuring IDs be relaxed. This is more in terms of Gupt Daan or Anonymous Donations which can be collected in a transparent manner (eg: by DD in favour of the association). we are bound by legal and auditing requirements to maintain identity proof of all our members. People have joined us because of trust, We try to maintain transparency to the extent possible, hence getting in anonymous mode of funds is not a preferred approach (atleast for time being). To fight against inefficient and corrupt officials, we do not necessarily have to follow Anonymous donations. If we are able to drive our forum members to become GFWA registered members, we would have sufficient funds. All we ask our members is subscription of 500 INR. Our GFWA registered members can contribute additional amount voluntarily.

I believe personally that both future residents and builders are interested in development of Greater Faridabad whereas farmers are anti-development and their greed for more and more money is fuelled by votebank politics of politicians like Rahul Gandhi.

Apart from GFWA which has filed case for rolling back increased EDC, there is an ongoing case filed in High Court by NFDA (New Faridabad Developers Association) for accelerating development of Greater Faridabad.Hearing for that case comes on 25th Nov, 2011. I know that we are having serious differences with builders. But, on issue of development, there should be a unity between builders and future residents.

So, personally, I urge GFWA members to provide full support to builders association in their fight against Haryana Govt., HUDA etc. for speedy development of Greater Faridabad.

Two new mantras to become rich have come to light lately.

Take lot of money from various sources including Public Secter Banks/ Institutions and threaten to declare insolvency, if pressd for payment. . Ask GOvt to help. They are always there to defend in the name of various development schemes.

Take loans from Public Sector banks and defaut on payments. Then RBI and all other banks will use their judiciary/fiduciary/ illusory expertise to prevent making the information PUblic. So others defend you. You do not have to worry.

That's how richness is created.
Our money, their expertise to fleece.

Well so much for our simplicity.... Gives me an idea....why pay the emi to the banks when the possession is not handed over.. neither there is any development .. imagine about thousands of bank loan holders not paying the ... will not the banks join us in putting the pressure on govt and builders... beat negativity with negativity.... pl offer comments

We should support NFDA for this cause atleast...

same happened in Noida too and builders got support of investors which again prompted government to work day & night...

Thanks for this update Dheeraj. But, i think only small builders are member of NFDA, not the other ones like BPTP/Omaxe...

Same Country, same recruitment board (UPSC), still huge differences in mentality between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. I wonder how they are so different even when two Babus from same state (say, for example tamilnadu) work in totally different way in UP and Haryana, irrespective of different political color.

Haryana is a cash-rich state, UP not. Although UP has several people who are quite richer. UP has more no of scandals too. Still, when UP government decides to develop a colony / a city, first it comes with a master-plan, then go for land deal, then making basic infrastructure like roads, drains, sanitation, etc and then it sells – partly direct sale, partly selling to builders.

In case of Haryana, first it decides to make a colony/city of a particular area, that too even after tip-off from the builders’ community. Then they are asking the private builders to buy land / start work therein. Accordingly builders floating advertisements and investors started investing. Then after some time / few years (depending on the responses received by the builder community) then think of making sector roads, sanitary line, etc. In case, if any land-deal requires, that starts at this point. Already they have started taking various taxes (inc EDC, etc) but that was unplanned. Suddenly they send a revised rate. They (in Haryana) make roads, etc with tax-payers' money and after that they impose toll-tax too, to maintain the roads. Still, you see the condition of roads in Faridabad, Gurgaon (if anybody knows about Hissar/ Panipat / Ballabhgarh / etc kindly add here) – it’s worst!

All strange things have happened in Greater Faridabad. EDC collected by HUDA and no development done. Still the hunger for more EDC is not ending. Huda not interested to do any work there. The builders are openly looting the investors by increasing the super built up area without any increase in actual size, by not completing their projects in time, by refusing to pay penalty to anyone in the name of Force Majeure Clause, by asking money in the name of sewage treatment plant which is an essential part of EDC only and payable only after completion of sewage lines. Still the open loot game is going on in Greater Faridabad. It has beaten all records of Loots in India. It must have beaten the notorious Chambal Ghati in terms of Loot. The Authorities and Builders have become Veerappan and we are the Sandalwood Trees of this jungle.
And still our Mr Rahul Gandhi call the Haryana Government Policies as the best in country in land development. This indeed is a very dirty and cruel joke on us !
