NOIDA: In what will reduce distance and save travel time for thousands of commuters, the Noida Authority has approved a proposal to build another expressway from Gautam Buddha Nagar to Faridabad. Once completed, the expressway will offer commuters direct connectivity to Faridabad and they will be able to avoid the massive jams seen on the route. The 75-m wide expressway will start from Sector 150, on the outskirts of Noida. A four-lane bridge will also be built on the Yamuna, taking the expressway to Faridabad.

The plan has been included in Noida's Master Plan-2031 by the planning department and the proposal has now been sent to the state government for approval. Once ready, the 14-km expressway will allow commuters to avoid the congested Badarpur bypass. The expressway will have entry/exit points between sector 150-152 in Noida and close to Greater Noida's Pari Chowk. Going through Noida and Greater Noida, the expressway will reach the Yamuna bank and then go on to Dalelpur in UP. Also passing through Haryana's Mehatpur, Lalpur, Bhupauni and Khedi villages, the expressway will reach NH-2 near Palwal.

The authority is waiting for a final nod from the state government and is expecting to begin work soon. "It will benefit people across NCR, making their travel faster and smoother," said Rajpal Kaushik, senior town planner of Noida Authority. "Once work begins the expressway will be completed in three years," he added.

A good initiative by NOIDA Authority. HUDA should take a lesson.

Builders will also get another way to promote their projects by showing this proposed expressway :-)

These are all proposed......... even there was a news item in 2006 that Greater Faridabad will be like Manhatten by 2011............... so there is a huge gap between Proposed and actual.

Cheers

Hi All,

One of my relative (Who is also having flat in SRS like me) visited Noida Extension area on this Maha Shivratri and found very promising. Good quality of wide roads and very planned area seemed very futuristic. He appreciated the way UP govt. is investing funds to develop the area unlike Greater Faridabad.

UP govt. is playing its full fledged role in providing road, sewerage, water and lights now buliders has to perform whereas in our case we are very unlucky. Even after +4 years G.Fdbd is still a village and now we are feeling like cheated by govt and builders. For sure Noida Extension is going to become most happening place and flats are very cheap there. In 25 -27 lacs 3 bed room flat is available with no hidden cost and not sure how many year HUDA will take to open its eyes.

People like me who already has a home in Delhi and have purchased flat in Nehar Par as an investment could have afforded / bought another flat in Noida extension if G.Fdbd would have developed in 3 years time. G.Fdbd flat's rent would have gone in loan's emi and fresh investment could be done easily in Greater Noida but all our dreams have been shattered by HUDA and Builders who are nothing else but just bloody blood suckers..... Sorry friends but somewhere frustration comes out.

It is ONLY a PROPOSAL. NOIDA is having very efficient administration but they can't construct anything inside Haryana. HUDA should co-ordinate with NOIDA authority to work together for connectivity.

I agree with Amitav. Don't go by proposal. FNG was proposed way back in 1989 but now it is SCRAPPED.
